In early 2016, Get Graphic’s Chad Munroe & Jennifer Rennicke designed, and Chad and fellow 3M Preferred Installer & Aaron Hull installed a wrap on a 1965 Factory Five Shelby Cobra Roadster, completely covered in 3M 1080 color change material for a local car collector who was looking for a unique look. On June 29th, 3M announced a nation wide contest for vehicles wrapped in 1080 material, Chad entered a description of the project and pictures of the car, and the rest is history.
The competition was steep so we were shocked and elated when the call came in that out of a field of dozens of entries from all over the US, filled with custom wraps on Lamborghini’s, Porsche’s, and even a fire truck and an 18 wheeler, our project was selected as the best of the best. The prize package for winning included a trip for Chad to SEMA 2016 to showcase his skillset in the 3m booth along with other elite industry leaders and professional installers.
